Amazed by How Clean North Park Is? Thank These Folks

There's little doubt that North Park is one of the premiere assets in the region.

But who takes care of it?

Certainly, Allegheny County plays a major role—but the efforts of a group of volunteers can not be underestimated.

The friends of North Park and the North Area Environmental Council sponsored a lake and land clean-up day on May 4.

Check out what 60 volunteers found and removed:

• 30 Bags of Trash
• 2 Tires
• 1 Large Trash Can Lid
• 1 Guitar
• 10 Gallon Fuel Can
• Fishing Poles & Bobbers
• Pirate Ship

Plans are in the making for another clean-up effort in late October.
