Bakerstown Alliance Church will host a free community movie night at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22 in the upper sanctuary. BAC will screen the movie "Just Mercy." The movie is a retelling of world-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson's fight to free a wrongly condemned death row prisoner. It details his history-making battle for justice. The film was co-written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Rob Morgan, Tim Blake Nelson, Rafe Spall, and Brie Larson. A preview of the movie is available here.
The movie is appropriate for ages 12 and above. An alternative children's movie will be shown in the downstairs nursery for guests under the age of 12. Snacks will be available. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.
This community movie night is part of an ongoing effort by BAC to eradicate all forms of racism within our community through education and prayer.
