"We really do play up our German heritage," said museum administrator Kathy Luek. "We have German dinners, a German Christmas market, and a German New Year which we celebrate at 6pm our time, midnight in Germany."
Harmony is rich in German heritage; the town was founded in 1804 by the communal Harmony Society of German Lutheran Separatists. When they left the area, the land was purchased by a group of German Mennonites from eastern Pennsylvania. Therefore, a German dinner resonates well in the community.

Luek expects around 100 people to attend the event. All proceeds raised directly benefit the Harmony Museum.
While the dinner is BYOB, coffee and iced tea are available.
Cost of the dinner is $17 per person and prepaid reservations are required. Reservations must be made by calling 724-452-7341 by Wednesday, Sept. 11.
