Itβs Homecoming Time: Pine-Richland Set to Kick Off Festivities
Get the scoop on this weekend's parade, game and dance.

Pine-Richland students and alumni will get a blast from the past when the district celebrates homecoming Friday, Oct 4, and Saturday, Oct. 5.
This yearβs theme is βPR Travels Through the Decades.β
To get ready for this year'sΒ event, the district held Homecoming Spirit Week Sept. 30 through Oct. 4. During that week, students donned garb from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

Hereβs a look at this weekendβs activities.
The Parade
At 6:15 p.m.Β Friday, Oct. 4,Β PR alumni are invited to walk in the homecoming procession alongside the floats. Those participating should report behind the high school atΒ 5:30 p.m.Β

The parade will include alumni, students, JR Air Force ROTC cadets, youth football team players and youth cheerleaders.Β
There also will beΒ 245 high school marching band and auxiliary members, the PR Homecoming Court andΒ Miss Pennsylvania, National American Miss, Jr. and Preteen Olivia Scullion and Miss Pennsylvania, National American Miss and Preteen Sydney Rowland.
The procession will make its way toward the stadium, where visitors will be able toΒ enjoy food and spirit-wear booths.Β
The Game and The Dance
The game will begin atΒ 7:30 p.m.Β as the Rams take on Central Catholic.Β Β The PR homecoming queen will be crowned at halftime.
The traditional homecoming dance will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the high school.
