Wexford Volunteer Fire Company: Fire Sprinkler Demonstration Set For Pine Community Day
'You'll learn the importance of properly installing and maintaining smoke alarms and hopefully consider fire sprinklers for your home.'
July 2, 2021
We are pleased to report that we will present a fire sprinkler burn demonstration at the Pine Community Day on Saturday, July 17 at 7 pm. We will set up two fully furnished mock rooms. One will be equipped with a working fire sprinkler and the other will not. Fire will be set in the room without a fire sprinkler first. You’ll get to see how fast a fire develops before the fire is extinguished with a fire hose. A fire will then be set in the room with a fire sprinkler. You’ll be amazed by how fast the fire sprinkler reacts to control the fire.

This will be our third demonstration, and participants always come away with a new appreciation for the true danger of fire. You’ll learn the importance of properly installing and maintaining smoke alarms and hopefully consider fire sprinklers for your home in the future. We hope to see you there!
