Police, DA's Office: Driver Not Named In Fatal Crash
Local police and the District Attorney's office are investigating a Lower Pottsgrove Township crash that left a woman dead and many questions unanswered.

Lower Pottsgrove Township police and the Montgomery County District Attorney's office are investigating a one-vehicle crash that killed Ellen Seifert Gold, 33, of Lower Pottsgrove Township.
The accident happened in the 1900 block of Yerger Road between N. Kiem Street and Bliem Road.

Police at roughly 2:54 p.m. Sunday were dispatched to the scene where they found Gold dead in a Ford Bronco.
The vehicle "left the roadway where it crashed into a wooded area," a LPT police new release states.

"An initial investigation determined that the vehicle was traveling west on Yerger Road," the release states.
According to , "a Phoenixville police sergeant was injured in an accident that claimed the life of a 33-year-old woman in Lower Pottsgrove Sunday."
A survivor of the crash "was found outside the vehicle and was flown to Reading Hospital and Trauma Center for treatment," Philly.com reports.Â
Officials investigating the accident did not name the driver, indicate whether the driver and Gold wore seatbelts or are related.
Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele on Monday said his office did not issue a press release regarding the accident.
"The only thing I have said to the media is that the accident is under investigation," he said via email. "It may be some time yet until we have made any determinations on the investigation."
The LPT news release does not name other occupants in the Bronco but refers to Gold as "one of the occupants" of the vehicle.Â
"No further information is being released at this time," the LPT release states. "Anyone who may have information on the incident is asked to contact Lower Pottsgrove Township Police (at) 610-326-1508."
