By Christopher Longeway of Milkman Lunch Company and Cake Shoppe

At the crossroads of Routes 100 and 422 sits our little town, and at the crossroads of North Charlotte and Oak Streets sits Pottstown’s most fabulous little cake shoppe, the . This charming location is a great place to hold a celebration, and that’s just what we’re doing during the week of March 19th to the 24th.  The reason? Mr. Milkman himself is having a birthday!

We’ve hosted many a birthday celebration within our hallowed walls since this little shoppe opened in 2011, but the majority of those participating were under age 12 and it’s been a few too many years since saw the world from a pre-teen perspective. That doesn’t mean he didn’t enjoy joining in the birthday parties with the kids, ‘cause he did. Mr. Milkman has been justly accused of being many things during his lifetime, but real sour square is not one of them!

So what to do, what to do? It would be impractical to hold a cupcake decorating class for the entire citizenry of Pottstown, although if it were to happen, it would most likely make a featured story for various news outlets. Instead, we’ll let the good folks at the Pottstown Patch alert their readership to the fact that we’ll be featuring daily goodie specials all that week. From Cake Pops and Whoopie Pies to Jumbo Cookies and our fabulous Buttercream-topped Cupcakes, each day will showcase a new treat, each one more delectable than the last and all discounted to keep your sweet-tooth satisfied and your dollar in your pocket. Get clued in to our Facebook page every morning where we’ll announce each special, or better yet, come on out to the Milkman Lunch Company & Cake Shoppe and wish Mr. Milkman a Happy Birthday in person.
