The first semester recipient of the award, which consists of a computer, printer, and appropriate educational software, is eighth grader Brandon Tinson.  Brandon was selected by the teachers of the Pottstown Middle School eighth grade white team.  Social studies teacher Mr. Stephen Allen stated, “Brandon is a conscientious, hard working student who always tries his best to be successful.  He has proven himself to be a leader not only in the classroom but on the field and court.  As quarterback for the football team and captain of the basketball team, Brandon was able to maintain honor roll grades.  He is our definition of a student-athlete that gives 100% at everything he does.”

Middle School Principal Mrs. Gail Cooper believes, “Brandon is well on his way to becoming a young man that will be an excellent representative of our school and community.”
