Car Show To Help Family In Crisis
Local clubs will host a benefit car show at Rubright Racing, 826 North Lewis Road in Limerick, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 31.
Scott Grebe is grateful for his friends who will host a in his honor on Saturday.
Grebe, 43, of Pottstown, was recently diagnosed with cancer and cannot work.

The upcoming show will collect donations to help Grebe and his family pay for growing medical, utility and other bills.
And while that effort is crucial to help the Grebes survive their financial struggles, the thought behind the show has already raised Grebe's spirits.

"I can't wait to see old friends and meet new ones on Saturday," Grebe said via Facebook on Thursday. "Thanks for the support."
Boyertown-based Wicked Effects Car Club and Pottstown Classics Car Club will team with others in the community to raise money for the Grebe family.
“(Grebe) has been a friend, more like a brother, of mine for the past 13 years,” Andrew Bealer, owner and president of Wicked Effects Car Club, said recently via Facebook message.
“He has been out of work for some time and has done everything to support his family including selling his prized Thunderbird that he dreamed of fully restoring," Bealer said.
Bealer said Mark Rubright, owner of Rubright Racing, 826 North Lewis Road in Limerick, donated the parking lot of his shop for the show.
Boobie Nation -- a local non-profit group that raises money and awareness to fight cancer -- the Pottstown Classics Car Club and Trophy-n-Plaque Shack of Pottstown helped publicize and organize the event led by Wicked Effects.
Additionally, Bealer is scheduled to discuss the event at 9:15 a.m. Dec. 30 on .
The fund-raiser's supporters hope for a good turnout.
"I think it will be well attended," said Don Villanova of Pottstown Classics Car Club via Facebook message. "I think that we will have a pretty full lot at Mark Rubright's."

The car show will be held at Rubright Racing -- 826 North Lewis Road in Limerick -- from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 31.
Trophies will be awarded in various categories.
The event is free and open to all. Participants are asked to make a donation to the Grebe family.
For folks who can't be at the show, donations can be made payable to Scott Grebe and mailed to Wicked Effects Car Club, 165 Sycamore Blvd, Stowe, PA, 19464.
Editor's note: 6 a.m. 12/30/11 -- The Rubright's lot will accommodate the first 100 cars. Participants that arrive to the show late must park at the , 411 W. Ridge Pike.
