Citigroup downgrades Exelon, Constellation Energy

Citigroup downgraded U.S. electric utilities Exelon Corp. and Constellation Energy Group to "neutral" from "buy" on the back of a steep fall in natural gas prices last month.Â
Spot natural gas futures dipped below $3 per million British Thermal units on Friday, the lowest level in more than two years, as a glut of gas from shale fields across U.S. pushed inventory levels to historic highs. Market forecasters expect the prices to remain weak in 2012.Â
