Eastwood 2012 Summer Classic Show Coming To Pottstown

Participants will see the '40 Ford that was built by Troy Ladd and the crew at Hollywood Hot Rods, just for the 2012 Street Rodder Road Tour.

 

POTTSTOWN - The Eastwood Company is hosting the Eastwood 2012 Summer Classic show and shine on July 14, 2012 from 10a.m. – 3 p.m (rain date is July 15).  As part of National Collector Car Appreciation Week at Eastwood, this is a day for restoration enthusiasts to visit Eastwood headquarters at 263 Shoemaker Road, Pottstown, PA and show off the hard work done on their classic cars: all makes, all models and years are welcome.

“Shine up your ride and come to Eastwood to show it off,” said Nick Capinski, Consumer Marketing Manager and Summer Classic organizer.

Participants will see the ’40 Ford that was built by Troy Ladd and the crew at Hollywood Hot Rods, just for the 2012 Street Rodder Road Tour. The ’40 Ford features an all new steel body, along with many custom modifications you’ve got to see to believe  Jerry Dixey, Street Rodder editor will be leading the Street Rodder Road Tour participants to the Eastwood Summer Classic, and he’ll be there to show off the car and chat with the crowd of Eastwood customers and classic car hobbyists in attendance. The Eastwood tech experts and staff will be conducting live “How-To” seminars, and have their cars on display as well.  As the Official Tool Sponsor for the Street Rodder 2012 Road Tour, Eastwood will have many of its unique tools used in the construction of the Road Tour car on display.

Admission is free for spectators. There is a $5 entry fee for cars and  the first 350 cars will receive a goodie bag packed full of surprises. Tech demos will be going all day long, and you’ll have an opportunity to try out some of Eastwood’s most popular tools.  The retail store will have special promotions going on all day.  Prize giveaways, event t-shirts, food and music will round out a day of family fun and classic car pride.

Eastwood’s Summer Classic culminates a week of celebration at Eastwood in honor of National Collector Car Appreciation Day, which is July 13, 2012.
