Hill School Grad Brings Slavic Choir To Pottstown

Andrew Skitko III thanked parishioners for the chance to bring a special choir to his hometown church.
Skitko -- a 2008 graduate of Pottstown's  and senior vocal performance major at Westminster Choir College in Princeton -- on Sunday directed the Westminster Slavic Choir at  in Pottstown.

Skitko, who founded the group roughly two years ago, serves as cantor and music director at The Assumption of The Virgin Mary Byzantine Catholic Church of Trenton, N.J., where the choir performs about once a month.
The group's choral arrangements on Sunday included hymns and Christmas music in English and Slavonic.

"It's wonderful to be here with you all today," Skitko told the congregation.
