Inaugural Pottstown Half Marathon Set For July 11

The inaugural Pottstown Half Marathon is set for Saturday, July 11. The race will go off at 7 a.m.

The race is being organized by the Sly Fox Track Club and is being presented by the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Online registration is open until July 1, and is $60 for Sly Fox Track Club members, and $70 for non-members. Race day registration is $80.

Hundreds have already signed up, according to event organizers.

“This event will be one of many events next year celebrating Pottstown’s Bicentennial,” said race director Chris Bayless. “We are very excited to be able to showcase our city with this unique event. ”

Race expo and packet pick-up will be from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Sly Fox Brewery in Pottstown.

A pasta dinner will take place from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Brewery as well.

A post race party and awards ceremony will take place at the Brewery after the race beginning at about noon.
