Lincoln Elementary Students Raise Money For American Heart Association

The total fund-raising efforts for Lincoln Elementary School were $1,600 with second grader Sidney Waterman and fourth grader John Heydt each raising $150.

students, under the direction of physical education instructor Jane Thompson, showed how big a heart they have by participating in the Jump Rope for the American Heart Association event.

Students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade used hula hoops, jump ropes, and climbing ropes as their way of supporting the American Heart Association.

Mrs. Thompson was overjoyed with the participation by students. 

“I am so excited that our students participated in healthy lifestyle activities while at the same time helping to contribute to a very worthy cause," she said.
