LPPD's Chief Foltz Named Emergency Response Team Commander

Foltz succeeds former Pottstown police chief Mark Flanders.

According to a report in the Sanatoga Post, Lower Pottsgrove's police chief, Michael Foltz, has been named commander of the Chester-Montgomery Emergency Response Team (CMERT). 

CMERT is a police special weapons and tactics team that responds to high-risk situations. It is comprised of officers from Lower Pottsgrove, Pottstown, Upper Pottsgrove, West Pottsgrove, North Coventry, and New Hanover.
