MCCC Students Raise Over $1,000 for West Campus Scholarships

Since its introduction in 2002, the West Campus Lasagna Dinner raised over $12,000 for student scholarships and community organizations.

Student leaders at the West Campus of Montgomery County Community College raised a total of $1,187 during their 11th annual Lasagna Dinner on Feb. 16.

All proceeds benefit the West Campus Scholarship through the College’s Foundation. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a West Campus who is engaged in community service and is in good academic standing.

Background:

Student leaders at the West Campus of Montgomery County Community College hosted the 11th annual Lasagna Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 16. The dinner was held in the South Hall Community Room at 101 College Drive in Pottstown. Take-out meals were also available.

The dinner included a choice of veggie or meat lasagna, salad, bread, beverage and dessert, cost $10 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under. Meals were also available for pre-order.

Proceeds from the dinner benefit the West Campus Scholarship through the college’s foundation.

Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a West Campus who is engaged in community service and is in good academic standing. Representatives from the Foundation will be on hand to answer questions about this and other scholarship opportunities.
