Montco Community College Employee Competes On NBC's 'Titan Games'

The local man is competing for $100,000 on the upcoming season Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's hit competition show.

POTTSTOWN, PA — An East Norriton man and employee at Montgomery County Community College will star on the next season of a hit competition show on NBC.

Andrew Hanus, 32, a grants manager at the college, will be among those who compete on "The Titan Games," a show created Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Contestants compete in a wide variety of "epic head-to-head challenges designed to test the mind, body and heart," according to NBC.

Haus is a U.S. Air Force veteran and strongman competitor, told the college in an interview that he had a great experience filming the show, despite going through hardships and even tearing his groin.

“I can’t wait to see how hit all comes together when the show airs,” he told the college in an interview. "What they were interested in was the individual story. Your attitude, who you are as a human being, what that would look like on film if the rest of America was watching.”

In addition to his experience as a servicemember, Hanus ran track, wrestled, and played football in high school.

Hamus had the chance to meet The Rock during filming. The legendary actor even helped Hamus take his helmet off when he was exhausted from competition.

The show premieres on NBC on Monday, May 25 at 8 p.m.
