Montco Resident Trains For Wing Bowl 24

The man, whose competes under the name Notorious B.O.B., has been a competitive eater since 2003.

ROYERSFORD, PA – A local man is training to compete in the upcoming Wing Bowl 24, and one area restaurant is trying to give him some help.

Phamous Phil’s BBQ & Grille, Royersford is partnering with Royersford resident Bob Shoudt to help him prepare for the big event, the Valley Forge Tourism Board announced.

Shoudt, whose competes under the name Notorious B.O.B., has been a competitive eater since 2003, when he first took part in the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating contest.

He first competed in Wing Bowl 13, in 2005. At 2015’s event, he consumed 280 wings in 30 minutes, earning him the first-place spot among local competitors.

Shoudt is pairing up with Phamous Phils to train for the 2016 edition of Wing Bowl. Philip Schmidt, Phamous Phil’s owner and chef, is donating more than 400 wings – as well as all prep – to the effort. Schmidt has been a member of the VFTCB since summer 2014.

Shoudt’s “training” will take place on January 28 at 11 a.m. at Phamous Phil’s.
