Multiple Accidents Jam Up Route 422 Tuesday Morning

At least two accidents led to significant backups on parts of Route 422 early Tuesday.

The first incident occurred in the eastbound lanes near the Oaks exit at around 7:40 a.m.

Two vehicles were involved in a fender bender near the Egypt Road ramp, according to authorities.

Later on, closer to 8 a.m., a more serious accident brought traffic to a standstill in the westbound lanes out in Exeter Township.

422 Sucks reports that there were injuries in the crash, and lanes were shut down as crews arrived on the scene.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
