New Pottstown Police Chief to Make $95,000 Per Year

Pottstown Borough Council approved a contract for new police chief F. Richard Drumheller, Jr., during Monday night's council meeting, according to a story in the Pottstown Mercury.

Drumheller's contract includes a salary of $95,000, a $1,000 clothing and uniform allowance and a car for official use. The previous chief, Mark Flanders (now Pottstown's borough manager) made just over $5,000 more in 2011, and declined a pay raise in 2012.

The contract is a one-year contract which automatically renews each year unless one of the parties wants to change the terms.

Drumheller was unanimously approved in April and was sworn in on May 9
