North Coventry Contractor Promised To Do Work, Stole $14K: Cops
A contractor promised to complete a vast home improvement project and never did, vanishing with $14,000, police said.

NORTH COVENTRY, PA — A man who has done home improvement work in the Chester and Montgomery County area is wanted by authorities after allegedly defrauding a local victim of thousands, police said.
Michael Allen Bentz, 36, of Barto, is wanted for home improvement fraud and related counts.

Bentz entered into an agreement with the victim, a resident of North Coventry, and promised to demolish and remodel the basement, authorities said. The agreement was signed back in May 2019.
However, the work was never completed, and police said that Bentz has since made off with the money he was paid, which totals $14,750.
