Owen J. Roberts Grad, North Coventry Native, Dies At 30

Kenny Long, a member of the Owen J. Roberts class of 2004, has passed away. He was 30.

Kenneth J. Long, Jr., age 30, of Philadelphia, PA, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Born on August 12, 1986 in North Coventry, he was a son of Kenneth and Irene (McKim) Long of North Coventry.

Kenny graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School in 2004, where he was a dedicated and passionate member of the baseball team. He also graduated from Eastern University, where he continued to play baseball and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. Kenny was an avid hunter, and enjoyed concerts and sports, especially the Flyers and Phillies. He loved and cherished the time spent with family and friends.

In addition to him parents, Kenny is survived by two brothers, Thomas R. Long, fiance of Allison Smith of Boyertown, PA, and Robert J. Long of North Coventry; two nieces, Charlotte Brooke and Josephine Grace Long; maternal grandfather, Glenn L. McKim, Sr. of Three Springs, PA and paternal grandmother, Alice M. Long of North Coventry; as well as several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Muthler. Burial will be held in the East Coventry Mennonite Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered in his name to the Coventry Church of the Brethren, 946 Keen Road, Pottstown, PA 19465.
