Pottstown 4th Of July Fireworks, 2020 Celebration Postponed

Pottstown's Go Fourth celebration may not be held on Fourth of July, but there will still be fireworks this year. Here's what to know.

POTTSTOWN, PA – July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel their Fourth of July events, but Pottstown has taken a different route: postponement.

The wildly popular Go Fourth! celebration will now held instead on Sept. 6, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks are slated for 9:15 p.m.

The event, the "Sunny 2020 Festival" will take place at Pottstown's Memorial Park, located on 75 W. King Street.

Organizers have put together a sweeping fundraising campaign for the event, including raffles on gift baskets, virtual "Family Feud" style competitions streamed online between local and state lawmakers, and more. Find out how you can support the event online here.
