Pottstown Centenarian, Leader Isabel Rosewarne Dies At 102
World traveler, volunteer, and the first woman elected to the Owen J. Roberts School Board, Isabel Rosewarne inspired in many ways.
POTTSTOWN, PA — A Pottstown centenarian and longtime community leader and education pioneer died late last month. Isabel K. Rosewarne was 102.
According to her obituary, Rosewarne was the first woman elected to the Owen J. Roberts school board and even served as president of the board for a time.
Along with her husband Charles, she owned and ran the Kenilworth Tree Nursery for 45 years, and was a florist for more than 70 years.

Her many volunteer positions included work at the YMCA, Salvation Army, Garden Club, and more.
"Isabel will be remembered by family and friends as an inspiration of how to live life well," her obituary states. "She didn't see barriers, only opportunities for herself. Until 3 years ago, she lived on her own, that independence was of utmost importance to her. We will all greatly miss her strength, confidence and support."
