Pottstown Looking To Fill Tax Collector Vacancy

The Borough of Pottstown seeks a qualified applicant to appoint as Tax Collector to fill the remainder of the current term ending December 31, 2021. This position serves as a perfunctory duty for the collection of County, School District and Borough taxes in the Borough of Pottstown, with most administration of day to day activities being conducted by Borough staff. The ideal candidate should have a clean criminal record, experience working in the accounting or finance industries, have resided in the Borough for at least one year and must be able to secure a municipal bond.

COMPENSATION:

Since the Tax Collector will disclaim responsibility for collection of Borough taxes, thereby allowing direct collection arrangements to be implemented by the Borough, the appointed tax Collector will receive $.25 per tax bill.
