Pottstown And O.J. Roberts Finish Thanksgiving Football Rivalry
Pottstown and O.J. Roberts have played on Thanksgiving annually since 1959. This season's game will be the last of the series.
POTTSTOWN, PA -- The Pottstown School District announced last week that Pottstown and O.J. Roberts will play its final game on Thanksgiving in 2017. The district said changes to the PIAA playoff schedule influenced the termination of a series that began in 1959.
The Pottstown Trojans and the Owen J. Roberts Wildcats, both members of the Pioneer Athletic Conference, will play the final game of the series at Pottstown at 10 a.m., according to MaxPreps.
