The Pottstown School District Board of Education voted Monday to approve a preliminary budget of $53 million, which includes a 2.4 percent tax hike.Â
The budget increases spending by just over $1 million, and the largest components of the budget are salaries and benefits.Â
A home assessed at the average value of $73,493 will see a tax increase of $68.50 next year.Â
