Police say James McKinney, 18, was arrested on a warrant and was in possession of heroin.

He is only 18, but had to be taken in on a warrant, at which time, police say, they found heroin in his possession.

On March 11, Pottstown Borough Police on patrol in the area of Third and Hanover streets observed James McKinney, 18, of Pottstown, reports said. Police said they recognized the teen from previous interactions.

Police confirmed an outstanding arrest warrant and stopped McKinney, taking him into custody. Police said that they found on his person a “small clear zip-lock baggie” inside his cigarette pack.
