Public Hearings, Holiday Events Ahead This Week
A look at some events going on in the Pottstown area this week.

Pottstown's Committee of the Whole will have their July meeting on Tuesday. On the agenda are two public hearings, one regarding the transfer of a liquor license to Mannino's Pizza and Italian Eatery at 903 North Charlotte Street and the other regarding the 2013 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Grant. The council will also swear in a new police officer.
Pottstown's Independence Day parade will take place Thursday beginning at 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of High and Keim streets. There will be events going on at Memorial Park, but sadly, no fireworks this year.Â
Pottsgrove Manor will continue its exhibit "Forging a Lifestyle: Ironworking with the Potts Family" and will have a symposium on ironmaking on July 20.Â
