Ray A."Moose" Swavely, 68, Born in Pottstown

Ray A."Moose" Swavely, 68, of Stowe passed way on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.  He was the husband of Joanne M. (DiGuiseppe) Swavely.

Ray was born in Pottstown, a son of the late Elsie (Swavely) Graham.  He attended Owen J. Roberts High School.  Ray was employed for many years as an installer for Waltz Turf Farm.  He was also employed as a driver for Quigley Bus Company, last working Friday.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and camping. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Swavely, of Pottstown; sister, Dorothy McCrudden and husband Dennis, of Montana; brother, Lloyd Swavely and wife Evelyn, of Florida and many nieces and nephews.  Ray was also preceded in death by a son, Ray Jr., and sister, Kathryn Gauger.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford.  Officiating will be Rev. Ruth Chartier.  Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the SPCA of Montgomery County, 19 E. Ridge Pike, P.O.
