Red Ribbon Week helps communities commit to a drug-free life for the hopes and dreams of children.

Rupert Principal Matt Moyer and the teaching staff organized a weeklong series of events starting with a Red Ribbon Week kickoff where students were given a sticker -- to promote the drug-free effort -- and time to sign the school’s pledge to be drug-free.

On the second day of Red Ribbon Week, students were encouraged to wear red accessories including jewelry, hats, scarves, ties and socks with their school uniform.

The theme week also included Scaring Drugs and Team Up Against Drugs days.

The activities ended with Put A Cap on Drugs day where students were allowed to wear their goofiest hat with their school uniform.

“I am proud of our students and staff for making such a personal commitment to live a drug-free life," Moyer said.
