Temporary Coronavirus Testing Site Opening In Pottstown Saturday

A temporary coronavirus testing site will open up for one day this weekend in Pottstown.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A temporary one-day community testing site will open in Pottstown on Saturday for residents of the local area, county officials announced Friday.

The site will open up at the Second Baptist Church on 507 N. Adams Street on Saturday, May 9.

Anyone who has symptoms or who has been exposed to someone known to have the virus in the last two weeks is welcome to be tested. You do not have to be a resident of the borough of Pottstown to be tested.

A total of 250 tests are available at the site, which is a walk-up site.

Testing will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There is no cost for the test, and no prescription required.

The program was put together in partnership with the Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium, which aims to improve education and advocacy among African-Americans regarding the virus to prevent cases and deaths.
