According to a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach HomExpert Market Report, there were 18 properties that closed in October, compared with 20 from last year. In October of 2011 that number was 18.
The median price of the properties that did sell in October of 2013 increased 9.2 percent over the same period last year, from $568,500 to $621,000, both up from $356,750 in October 2011.
