2 Philadelphia Companies Among Best Employers In US: Forbes
Two companies based in Philadelphia made Forbes' annual list of the best employers in America.
PHILADELPHIA – Two companies based in Philadelphia found themselves ranked among the best employers in the nation, according to a new list from Forbes.
Among 10 Pennsylvania companies on the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and GlaxoSmithKline, both of which are headquartered in Philadelphia.
Forbes' rankings were released on Tuesday and include 500 companies that have more than 5,000 employees.

CHOP was ranked 119th in the nation and second in Pennsylvania.
GlaxoSmithKline was No. 220 in the country and fourth in PA.

SAP in Newtown Square took the top spot for Pennsylvania and was ranked 25th overall in the nation.

The popular grocery store Trader Joe's was ranked the top employer in the United States for 2019, according to the annual list. The rankings released on Wednesday name the 500 best.
Forbes also notes that Trader Joe's establishes unique base wages for each market and offers access to benefits to part-time and full-time workers.
For the America's Best Employers 2019 list, Forbes partnered with the research firm Statista, surveying 30,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees.
