2020 Founders Freeze-Out: What You Need To Know

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — Get ready Manayunk: Founders Philly Freeze-Out is coming back to the area and will bring beer, food, ice craving, and much more.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 25 along Main Street.

Main Street will be rife with ice carving demonstrations, feature beer samples, take you on a chowder crawl, host a Winter Market and a Warming Lodge, live entertainment, and more.

The fun begins at 11 a.m. on the corner of Main and Lock Streets with a live ice carving, samples of Founders Brewing Company, live music by John Gilbride, and a Winter Market of local artists and makers sponsored by CB Delight and Hello Fresh.

Head down Main and Cotton streets to get cozy by fire pits made of ice and stop in a Warming Lodge sponsored by Lounge Around, Green Mountain Energy, Bailey’s Irish Cream, and Johnnie Walker whisky.

There, you can watch Jamie B. Gallagher performing tunes.

End your day at the ice beer garden at Canal View Park, 4416 Main St., where Founders Brewing Company will hand out samples of their brews and host their own live ice carving to the sounds of a live DJ.

And adding another way to keep warm is the second annual Chowder Crawl. More than a dozen Manayunk restaurants will put their best spoons forward to create their own versions of winter’s favorite comfort food. Participating restaurants are:

Tickets range in price and can be purchased online here. You must be 21 years old to participate in the crawl.
