The event will recognize outstanding members of the Morris Animal Refuge community and will feature a silent auction and a fund the mission style live-auction.
"In more than 140 years, the Morris Animal Refuge has cared for hundreds of thousands of animals and helped shape the course of animal welfare in the United States," said Lewis Checchia, Executive Director of Morris Animal Refuge. "Money raised at the Fur Ball helps fund Morris as one of the few remaining privately operated, open admission shelters in the country. In 2018 we saved more lives than ever and proudly served the community with a 98 percent save rate!"
Proceeds from the event will go towards saving the homeless, abandoned and unwanted pets of the Greater Philadelphia region. It will help support America’s first animal shelter with vital programs including the Lifesaver Fund, the Fostering Program, the Adoption Program, and the Low Cost Spay & Neuter Program.
Tickets start at $150 per person for general admission and include an open bar, food from 12th Street Catering, live music, and dancing all night long.
In an event first, "young friends of Morris” (35 and under) can take advantage of discounted $90 ticket valid for 9 p.m. to midnight. These tickets include open bar, savory snacks and dessert bar, carnival games and performances, and access to the silent auction and raffle prizes.
