9/11 Heroes Run Set For Philadelphia Sunday

Races will benefit the Travis Manion Foundation

With the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks coming this Friday, a series of 9/11 Heroes Runs will take place around the country next weekend, including at Memorial Hall/the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia at 9 a.m. The Philadelphia race will feature both a distance 5K and a one-mile fun run.

The runs- also taking place in West Chester, Doylestown, Valley Forge, Pennsauken and Feasterville- are conducted to benefit the Travis Manion Foundation, named for the Naval Academy graduate who grew up in Doylestown and was killed while serving in Iraq in 2007.

Additionally, the Phillies will host a Travis Manion Foundation night on Saturday, Sept. 12.
