Burglars Steal Cash, Cause Damage At Maria's In Roxborough

Police said two people broke into Maria's on Ridge Avenue then stole cash and damaged computers, an ATM and more.

ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — Maria's restaurant in Roxborough was broke into recently, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said two people broke into the business, located at 8100 Ridge Ave., sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. on Sunday, April 19.

After the two got inside the business, they stole $200 from a cash register. They also damaged an ATM, computer monitors, and the front door, police said.

Police did not say how the two got into the business.

One suspect was described as having a stocky build. They were wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, a black ski mask, and carried a crow bar.

The other suspect was described as having a stocky build and wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans, a white mask, white gloves, two different shoes (the right foot was black and white while the left food was dark), and carried a crowbar.
