Ceremony Honoring Late PPD Officer Tab Ali Next Week
Philadelphia Police Officer Tab Ali lost his battle with the coronavirus after serving the Roxborough and Manayunk area for 17 years.
ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — Members of the Roxborough and Manayunk communities are invited to attend a tribute for late Philadelphia Police Officer Tab Ali.
A tribute ceremony in honor of Ali, who served Roxborough and Manayunk for 17 years, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8.
The ceremony will be held at the 5th District Police Station, 6666 Ridge Ave.

Citations will be presented to Ali's family by Council members Kathy Gilmore Richardson, Curtis Jones Jr., Gwen Murphy McCauley, executive director of Manayunk Development Corporation and Congressman Dwight Evans. John McNesby, President FOP President Lodge 5 will be in attendance, as well.
Ali died Nov. 23 after a battle with the coronavirus.

He was 60 years old and a 25-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department.
