Charges Filed In Philly Hit-And-Run That Hurt State Trooper

PHILADELPHIA — A repeat DUI offender is facing charges in connection with fleeing a traffic stop and a hit-and-run that injured a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper over the weekend in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said Gabrielle Finch, 36, of Bucks County, has been charged with aggravated assault, leaving the scene of an accident involving injury, fleeing police, and related crimes.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred the morning of May 16 in Philadelphia's East Falls section.

According to the DA's office, a Pennsylvania State Police trooper on a motorcycle attempted to pull over Finch for a traffic violation.
Finch is accused of fleeing the traffic stop, which led the trooper to chase her.

The DA's office alleges Finch drove through stop signs.
Eventually, the chase ended when Finch's vehicle hit the motorcycle and the trooper was thrown from it, the DA's office said.
The trooper suffered a severe concussion in the crash.
According to the DA's office, Finch has an open DUI case from Monroe County and was convicted in 2019 for fleeing police in Bucks County. Additionally, Finch was convicted of DUI in Philadelphia in 2002.
