Conarroe Street In Manayunk Closing For Outdoor Dining

MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia officials announced a street in Manayunk is closing this weekend to provide outdoor dining options in the neighborhood.

In June, the city launched four new options — sidewalk cafés, streeteries, temporary use of private lots for dining, and temporary street closures — for restaurants to operate outdoor dining in order to earn much needed revenue.

These new options aim to support businesses during the city’s green phase of reopening from the COVID-19 pandemic and are allowed through an application process.

From Thursday through Sunday, Conarroe Street in Manayunk will be closed from 11 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.

The road will be closed between Main and Cresson streets.

Businesses or organizations approved for temporary full street closures in support of outdoor dining must reapply weekly.
