Cycling Event To Affect Philly Roads Saturday, March 16

PHILADELPHIA — A cycling event will affect traffic in and around Fairmount Park on Saturday, March 16, according to Philadelphia Police.

Police said the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference will host their Philly Phlyer Cycling in Fairmount Park on March 16.

Racing will take place in West Park and participant parking will be on the Avenue of the Republic at Memorial Hall.

The following Streets will be closed:

• M.L.K. Drive — Art Museum to Falls Bridge
• Lansdowne Drive — Girard Avenue to 41st Street
• Avenue of the Republic — East Memorial Hall to 41st Street
• South Concourse Drive — Belmont Avenue to 41st Street
• Strawberry Mansion Bridge
• Ford Road — Chamounix Drive to Straw Bridge
• Chamounix Drive — Ford Road to Greenland Drive

There will be police assigned to the event, but traffic could be heavy at times, police said.
