"Gritty, the seven-foot furry orange creature who needs no introduction, has only grown in popularity since emerging from his secret hideout and into the hearts of hockey fans," the NHLPA said. "He’s now earned the players’ vote in back-to-back years with yet another landslide victory."
Gnash of the Nashville Predators and Howler of the Arizona Coyotes tied for second with a paltry 2.8 percent of the vote each.
Los Angeles Kings mascot Bailey came in third with 2.5 percent.
Gritty himself posted a simple response on Twitter saying only "Nice."
