Help Clean Up Lincoln Drive On March 28

You are invited to help keep Lincoln Drive beautiful on March 28 with Friends of the Wissahickon and the Parks and Recreation Department.

PHILADELPHIA — You are invited to join a cleanup effort on Lincoln Drive later this month with the Friends of the Wissahickon and the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation department.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, FOW and Parks and Recreation will be leading a volunteer cleanup on Lincoln Drive.

"Lincoln Drive may provide scenic views of Wissahickon Valley Park’s southern section as it winds past Wissahickon Creek (the only road that does), but its high traffic also creates an excess of litter," Friends of the Wissahickon said. "Not only is the trash unsightly, it also ends up in the creek, which serves as a source of drinking water for over 350,000 Philadelphians."
