A Love Letter To Jeffrey Lutz
"You are my rock, my security blanket and my better half."

To celebrate Valentine's Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Rachel Lutz's love letter to her husband, Jeffrey:
To Jeffrey Lutz,
This past year has been an extremely trying time for us. Throughout the past six years of our marriage, never did we ever imagine having to experience such a traumatic situation as losing our first baby and then a few years later, being homeless with our two youngest kids at the beginning of winter. Then we had our toddlers ripped away from us while we were most vulnerable and just trying to hold everything together... we watched the fairy-tale life we worked so hard to build together come to a screeching halt.

But through all of the B.S., you still managed to find your way back to me. Back to the loving husband and father with whom I built my life and the foundation of our children's future. You are my rock, my security blanket and my better half. I am so grateful that God sent you to heal me and keep me whole.
2019 is the start of a new chapter in our saga and the first of many firsts for us, all in a positive direction to get us back to where we want to be: together as a complete family.

So here's to the man of my dreams, the father of my babies and baby to come (September 2019) and my safety net. Because I know without a doubt, I will always have you to fall back on.
I love you forever and always.
Your wife,
Rachel
