Manayunk Restaurant Broken Into Last Week: Philadelphia Police
Police said Mel's Kitchen on Umbria Street was broken into in the early morning hours of July 20.
MANAYUNK, PHILADELPHIA — A Manayunk eatery was broken into last week and Philadelphia Police are asking for help identifying the burglar.
According to Philadelphia Police, Mel's Kitchen at 5001 Umbria Street was broken into at about 5:54 a.m. Monday, July 20.
Police said a man broke into the business by forcing open a side window.

After getting inside the business, the man took money from a cash register, police said.
The total amount of the theft and damage is valued at $100.

Police described the suspect as a white man 20 to 30 years old with a thin build and beard. He has tattoos on both arms and on his right hand, police said. He was wearing a white T-shirt and baggy sweatpants.
