Question: Where can moms go locally when they’re in need of a little “me” time?

Moms Council Member MJ Czerpak had this to say:

“An easy one. The manicure place in Andorra–great manicure for $10. I go to the library first, and pick up the latest in ‘chic lit,’ and then settle in for some serious MJ time!”

Moms Council Member Dawn Wanner offered these thoughts:

“I don’t really get any ‘me time’ to go away anywhere. I do, however, love to go grocery shopping by myself. Without kids, I can take my time and stand in the aisle to compare prices, look for coupons, etc. I don’t have to worry about rushing around so the kids don’t get fussy, I don’t have to buy them a fresh bagel to keep them quiet and I don’t have to worry about meltdowns. I actually enjoy going grocery shopping. It’s my little time away.”

Moms Council Member Carol Haslam had this suggestion:

“The Community Wellness Center on Lyceum (Avenue) is my favorite. It’s not a spa, nor is it spa prices. But it is great! Acupuncture is performed while you sit in the most comfortable La-Z-Boy chairs ever. Get a much-needed nap while the needles help your body detox. They have a sliding scale … depending on your household income.
