Phillies Summon The Force For Star Wars Night

The Phillies have a late-season promotion this week that’s literally out of this world. They’re the latest team this year to hold a Star Wars Night.

The promotion, being held for the second year, will take place Wednesday night for the Phils’ game against the Toronto Blue Jays. It benefits Stand Up to Cancer.

The Phils were giving away a special Phillies Star Wars T-shirt- featuring the Phillie Phanatic brandishing a lightsaber- to the first 2,000 fans who purchased tickets, although those tickets are sold out. But a ticket discount is still being offered for those who purchase from the Phillies website.

In the meantime, fans are encouraged to arrive in costume, and the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra will perform music from the “Star Wars” movies.
