Roxborough's Bailey Not On Eagles' Practice Squad

Despite speculation, underdog receiver not kept on Eagles' team

Even though many NFL observers, including the team’s own broadcasters, predicted throughout the NFL preseason that rookie wide receiver and Roxborough native Rasheed Bailey would be placed on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad, Bailey is not on that roster.

The Eagles announced their final roster cuts, Bailey included, over the weekend, but when the practice squad was revealed on Sunday, Bailey was not included. However, several players who were in training camp with the team, including running back Raheem Mostert, linebacker Deontae Skinner, linebacker Brett Boyko and safety Ed Reynolds, were named to the squad.

Bailey, who impressed Eagles fans and was a minor cause celebre in town during the preseason, scored a touchdown last week in the team’s final preseason game. He is now free to sign with any NFL team.
