SEPTA is Free For Sunday's Eagles Game

Miller Lite sponsors free SEPTA rides throughout the afternoon, in effort to discourage drunken driving

SEPTA will offer free service on the Broad Street Line Sunday for the Eagles’ home opener, thanks to a sponsorship by Miller Lite.

The Broad Street Line will be free from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. The game kicks off at 4:25 and will likely end around 7:30.

In an effort to discourage drinking and driving before and after the game, MillerCoors is offering the sponsorship for the first home NFL game of the year in six cities, including Philadelphia and also Atlanta, where the Eagles started the season Monday night. In other cities not served by subways that go directly to the stadium, the free rides entail Uber rides, buses and other modes of transportation.
